We are seeking a Training & Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team and help shape the future of employee learning and development across the College. This role is a key driver in creating impactful training opportunities that support our faculty and staff in reaching their full potential.

The Opportunity

As the Training & Development Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of orientation and professional growth programs.
  • Partner with supervisors and leaders to identify skill gaps and design customized learning plans.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Manage training programs through platforms like NeoEd (Learn), Vector Solutions, and other LMS tools.
  • Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement, leadership development, and organizational culture projects.
  • Play a central role in onboarding new employees, ensuring they are fully integrated into the Del Mar College community.
  • Stay ahead of workforce development trends and bring innovative training solutions to our campus.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years related HR experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree AND five (5) years related HR experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years related HR experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in training design, adult learning, and needs assessments.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning technologies, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience implementing professional development in higher education.
  • Familiarity with NeoEd (Learn) or comparable LMS.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a culture of respect, collaboration, and excellence.
