I am looking for a policy that addresses who receives an employment contract at your institution. Currently all faculty, supervisors and administrators at Kilgore College receive an employment contract. We are looking at just issuing contracts to faculty and the executive leadership team, which consist of the President, VP's, Human Resource Director. Anyone that has a policy that addresses who receives a contract would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tony Johnson

Jennifer Dujka emailed this in response to the questions she took at the conference:

I took a couple of questions back from the conference last week and promised I would forward answers for them. So, here they are:

    1. For classes that meet in person for 50 minutes at a time—would the x 2 conversion (unless the RE has a higher multiplier) be calculated on 50 minutes, or 1 hour?
Answer: The multiplier is applied to the actual 50 minute class time. Therefore, each 50 minute class time counts for 100 minutes clock time (or 1 hour 40 minutes). A class which meets 3 times a week for 50 minutes each time would equate to a minimum of 300 clock minutes or 5 clock hours.

    2. How are hybrid classes counted?
    a. Answer: a hybrid class is counted the same as an online class. Please see the August 2016 Update for more information.

I am looking for any training you could recommend for a Staff?Faculty Title IX Coordinator? My former ER Manager was our Title IX Coordinator, but has since retired and I'll be assuming those duties. She received her Title IX certification from a firm called ATIXA out of Pennsylvania which holds training sessions across the country. Do any of you know of any other Companies that could provide this Title IX Training?

I'm new to higher education, having come from 17 years in healthcare HR. Happy to join this group and learn from you!

I just discovered that TASB has an HR Services arm and I'm curious how many of you subscribe to that service. I'm looking for compensation consulting services to do a complete review and restructure for Amarillo College. The mainstream comp consulting firms I'm familiar with don't have a lot of bench strength in higher education.

Please share how your Institution tracks FML for your employees, whether software, spreadsheet, etc., including intermittent leave.

    Thanks in advance for sharing!
